41 D clause

I have recd one Deffered Payment L/C showing its 41D clause "Available with BY--------Any bank by negotiation". Original L/C is available with X bank and i want to add confirmation to this L/C from Y bank (i hav an account in both bank). So it needs internal amendment from X bank to Y bank for 41D clause as "L/C available with Y bank".

Please feedback urgently

available by def payment or negotiation ?

Hi Friend,

please check details of your Documentary credit, as it cannot be by def payment or by negotiation. Then has the issuing bank requested advising bank to add confirmation? Otherwise you have to request amendment. If you want to "confirm" such documentary credit, than it will be a Silent confirmation or a del credere operation" outside the UCP 600
