Bank Gurantee Issuance date

Hi,

We have a bank gurantee issued by the customer's bank . But we have done some shipments before the BG was issued. Can we cover that shipments also under this Bank Gurantee if the customer defaults ?

Please advice

It all depends on the wording of the guarantee and the specific required wording of the demand itself.
