Hi experts

l/c calls for port to port b/l stating also 'freight prepaid'.

presented b/l, showing also inland place as'place of receipt',stating

freight prepaid free out.

do the additions of ''place of receipt'' and ''free out'' ,not required under the

l/c, turn the b/l to be discrepant?

thanks

B/L discrepant Hi Shirkunya!

B/L discrepant

Hi Shirkunya!
In my experience, B / L not discrepant, because the B / L only covers transactions shipment by sea "port to port".
As for the land transport is not included in ocean freight.
Regarding "free out" is the burden of unloading the goods from the vessel is borne by the buyer.
So when the goods arrive at the port of destination, buyer bear the cost of unloading and subsequent land transport carried out by an agent or other person designated by the seller to send goods to a "place of receipt".

 Thats my opinion.
