I have a customer who applied for a ILC, goods are coming from USA to Russia via a bonded warehouse in Germany.

Under CIP, field 44b on the letter of credit ,'destination' . What should that read, Germany or Russia.

 Many thanks

The difference between CIP Germany and CIP Russia

is that under CIP Germany you only pay the freight to Germany whereas under CIP Russia you also have to pay the freight from Germany to Russia.

As far as I understand the bonded-warehouse-matter correctly, you will have to separate B/Ls. The final destination question IMHO makes no sense for two separate B/Ls.

-Each long journey starts with a small step-

final destination?

Hi Friend,

Where the goods are actually?

If the goods are in a bonded warehouse, not cleared by German Customs, then to be resent to Russia, or other final destination, is completely different in buying in USA for Russia, then have a technical stop in Germany, for a further transport to Russia . If is applicable the second case the swift mt 700 will be:

44a: ??

44e: USA Port

44f: German Port

44b: Russian Place of destination

Hoping to be useful

ciao

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Goods are being manufactured in the USA  at the minute to be sent to the warehouse in Germany for further transportation to Russia. The applicant of the L/C is in a different country.

dear All,

Thank yo for the useful information.

as far as i consider this matter, the final destination should be mentioned Russia.the goods shipped from USA, then get LOAD ON LOAD in the Germany so again will be shipped to the Russia. in this situation the rate of dammage of the goods will be increased due to the LOAD ON LOAD action.

Best Regards.najjary.
