lc issue in partial value under proforma invoice

Hi!

We as a applicant bank, can we issue letter if credit on partial value on the amount mention in proforma invoice?

could it be problematic ?

Yes you can, but it should

Yes you can, but it should be mentioned in the proforma invoice and accordingly in the invoice the amount payable in advance(or TT, etc) and the amount payable under L/C. It must be also mentioned in the L/C under field 47A. I advise closer attention when drafting the required documents.
