If single BL contains more than one shipped on board stamps, then the earliest is considered as shipment date while if more than one set of BLs is submitted, then the latest shipped on board date is considered. I would like to know the reason and a logic behind this. Also, if a tenor is "xx" no. of days from the shipment date and to calculate the presnetation period, which date will be considered in above cases or the same logic will be applied.

Hi Friend,

-Single B/L, theoretically, states that the goods have been received in full by the carrier, and then laden on board same vessel in differen dates and probably in different ports belonging to the same area indicated in the l/c.

-The latest (of some) B/L covers the shipment completing the whole supply.

This could be a correct reason to calculate maturities, but I wait for further opinions.
