I made the same post

Hi Friends,

I made the same query due to a request of a customer willing to do this conditional payment against a bank guarantee MT 760 SWIFT Message. Conditional payments are made as per SWIFT Instructions and in any case, the bank has to pay the correspondent bank, via Target or other means, so it is not possible to consider an MT103/23 a suspended payment and avoid to debit the principal's account. Please speak with local SWIFT Representative and let us know.

Other comments appreciated

Ciao

The mandatory field 23B (Bank Operation Code) allows you to segregate transfers to be handled under "SWIFT Service Level Agreements" from others under other private agreements to apply in the transaction.

The bank officer has a choice of four code words to use in fiel 23B: CRED (Credit), SPAY (SWIFT Pay SLA), SSTD (SWIFT Standard SLA) and SPRI (SWIFT Priority SLA), depending on your specific instructions about.

Contact your banker.
