high rate of foreign bank charges

hi,

we are doing our business in Spain. our problem is high rate of foreign bank charges. original documents forward to bank in Hong Kong and then Hong Kong Bank forward these documents to Spain bank.

As per L/C direct dispatch of doucments are prohabited & discrepancies charges are Euro 70. but every time we received 200-235 Euro short as foreign bank charges.

why the rate of foreign bank charges are to high.

Hi Friend,

Bank charges in Europe, may be, are expensive, but you have to specify them;

-Special courier charges,

-amendment charges, discrepancies carges etc.

No trade contract, so ouside the bank system, states or considers if bank costs must be borne by seller or buyer.

But any transaction has its own cost.

Please specify.

Hi Friend,

Any bank sends a confidential tarif to correspondent bank and must published a tarif for the common public. So you can ask the european bank to break down the commissions held, for your information you could visit the bank website, many banks have the complete range of their commissions.

For Italy, post "Condizioni su crediti documentari" and see them.
