Dear Experts,

What is a SWITCH B/L and under which type of trade transaction is it used. How is a
SWITCH B/L identified from its face. Is a SWITCH B/L allowed to be presented under UCP 600 and
whether it has the same legal validity as a normal B/L.

Thanks for your help.

Switched Bill of lading

Hi Friend,

Swithed bill of lading is a bill of lading issued in substitution of another bill of lading, in order to change some details; shipper, notify etc.

It is used when an intermediary buyer has to sell the goods and dont want that the seller know the actual manufacture etc.
