Dear All

We (beneficiary)  have one L/C with the following clauses.
Third party documents are acceptable except commercial invoice and draft.

Radiation certificate issued by any competence authority.

Certificate of origin from chamber of commerce.

Inspection certificate from SGS.

Is it possible to submit radiation certificate , certificate of origin and inspection certificate issued by beneficiary . If not why?  Is UCP or ISBP will support, if not ?

Dear Tulsi,

No bene can't issue radiation Cert.

UCP article 3 :

Terms such as "first class", "well known", "qualified", "independent", "official", "competent" or "local" used to describe the issuer of a document allow any issuer except the beneficiary to issue that document.

Cert or origin : clearly states should be issued by chamber of commerce.

Inspection cert : LC is clearly stating should be issued by SGS.

3rd Party Documents

None whatsoever. In this context, with or without the clause, the UCP600 provisions are not being modified, but the issuer probably does not realise this
