BL date against MR date

Dear All,

I have face a problem, I have got Late Export Date in Shipping Bills but Vessel Owner said the Mates Receipt signed on earlier date so we can only issue BL that date only. But by Custom Law I can't received BL date before late export date as per Custom Law. Is the vessel owner correct?

My interpretation...

Hi Friend,

in a l/c, if not prohibited, a bill of lading received for shipment, may bear an on board notation that is early than

bill of lading date of issue.

Is MR supreme

Hi,

This is different, vessel owner (break bulk vessel) said Mates receipt date is supreme as far as mentioning BL date is concerned (we have several split export declaration for large cargo and have to take several Mates Receipt/Export declaration in different dates) . I said no, BL can have later date. Am I correct or not?
