Hello,

Is it possible for a non financial institution (non bank) to have an international routable SWIFT code and be able to send/receive messages from banks or other financial institutions? Of course with the possibility to authenticate the sender (know for certain the message came from a certain SWIFT code).

The receiver will not be processing money transfers or other kind of value transfers or bank operations, it just needs to receive papers / documents via SWIFT to verify some parts from letters of credit. SWIFT will serve as authentication mechanism to make sure the documents are received from a certain bank  / account.

Probably MT798

Sorry for the bad insert:

However you may ask your banks about the possibility to
use this MT798.

This is something found in Internet:

What is the MT798?

SWIFT’s Trade for Corporates, the MT798, offers
corporates th

standards in Trade Finance through structured messages
between corporates and banks.

MT798, also refe

is an authenticated message used to exchange Trade
data between corporates and member banks of the
SWIFT system.

MT798 provides a m
ultibank gateway through a centralized
and secure channel for customers working with two or
more banks.
What types of Trade data can
be exchanged using MT798?

The MT798 message allows for the exchange of:

MT798 available for anyone

Thanks for the reply. Well, can I have a swift code allocated directly, in the name of my company, and use that to receive just this type of messages?

Basically you can exchange any document this way, and be certain it was sent by a certain bank?
