The LC stipulates quality certificate issued by ABC stating that goods conform to XYZ standards. A quality certificate issued by ABC stating, "the goods conform to XYZ standards" is presented. But the certificate also states that goods are rusted. Is this a discrepant presentation? Where is this covered in ISBP 745? Regards

ISBP 745 Q8

I friend,

I think that ISBP 745 Q8 may apply to your request. The clause "rusted"  referring to particular goods may be accepted.

For information in Iron and Steel shipment if the goods are rust spotted, slighty rusty, slighty atmospherical rusty etc they do not cause the bill of lading to be issued unclean.(old ICC publ. no 223 but there is a new issue too)

Other comments appreciated
